Building 12 - The Comic
PRE-HISTORY

Summer, 1994.  Chris goes to college and has a terrible roommate experience.

Summer, 1994.  Chris meets the person that eventually evolved into the character "Alice", and later “Yuki”.

Spring, 1995 Chris goes to a political rally.  A friend mentions in passing that a small, dark, guilty part of him wants the whole thing to end in violence.  The seed of an idea is planted.

Spring, 1995.  Chris attends an annual tradition at the college that reminds him of the “ending in violence statement”.  For the first time the phrase “it all ended in a bloodbath from Hell” is uttered.  The resulting idea is quickly put on the back-burner in order to make time to film the self produced science-fiction movie “Freezone” during the summer of 1995.  Freezone” eventually wins a National Communicator award for “low budget” film making.

Fall, 1995.  Chris meets most of the rest of the people that would evolve into B12 characters, and spends most of his time in the dorm that would be the basis for Building 12.

Fall, 1995.  Anime Society started at Chris' college.  Due to an unofficial competition with Iron to collect the most anime Chris’ anime collection grows... a lot.

Winter, 1995.  First rough story concept and character designs for a primitive version of Building 12 are written up as a joke for Chris' friends.  The idea for the animated TV show entitled, “It all ended in a bloodbath from Hell” is born.
Little to no artwork remains for this period...  That is to say, little to no artwork can be FOUND relating to this period.  Somewhere, my old sketch books filled with the terrible original concept sketches are lying around begging to be scanned in, but until I feel like digging through mounds of old crap in storage, this section will remain blissfully free of most of the worst Building 12 artwork.

But, for those of you with a morbid sense of curiosity, I am providing a link to some thumbnails of my film "Freezone", which can be found HERE.

Yes, I am one of the people in those thumbnails, the man in black, and let me tell you, never cast yourself in a film in a role that requires you to dress in black leather and sword fight in 110 degree weather in the middle of a swamp.  Bad Idea.
